About Tinker's Tavern
Tinker's Tavern is an 18+ gaming community for people who enjoy Minecraft, survival games, and relaxed good company. We're inclusive, welcoming, and open to everyone, whether you're a casual player, a power gamer, brand new, or a longtime veteran. New members and friend groups are always welcome.
Our server is privately hosted in the US East region, but our community spans multiple time zones, so there's usually someone around no matter when you play. And just to be clear: 18+ does not mean NSFW. It simply means this is a space for adults who want respectful, low-stress gaming.
Community Rules
General Server Rules
- Be respectful of this community and its participants.
- Absolutely no NSFW posting, political discussions, or religious discussions in public rooms (that means any public room, not just the one labeled public chat). There's no shortage of communities tailored to those things if that's what you're looking for — take that stuff there.
- This is an 18+ community. There is no age verification, but we expect you to act accordingly.
- No griefing, stealing, or duping. We have no shortage of members who are happy to help if you're in a jam — just ask!
- No self-promotion (videos, streams, going live, etc.) or advertising other voice servers or communities outside of any promo channels made specifically for that purpose.
- Einbrecher hates moderating, so don't put them in the position where they need to moderate.
Streaming
- Streaming is permitted.
- The Tinker's Tavern Discord server is not content — do not include it, or any of the chats/channels/etc. taking place on it — in your stream.
- To the extent possible, please do not show in-game chat channels on your stream. This is both to protect others' privacy as well as protect your channel as a streamer. While I will moderate chat channels for violations of rules G1–G6, I will not impose language restrictions on other players just so you can keep a clean stream.
- Express permission is needed from any players whose voice will be included on or picked up by your stream — including recent joins to voice chat channels (within reason).
- Be considerate of other streamers/content creators — get permission before sharing, don't spoil builds, don't steal valor/credit, etc.
- The going-live channel is the only channel members may post Going Live announcements, VODs, etc. to self-promote.
FAQ
- How do I join a server?
- All of our servers are free to join but also whitelist protected. Join our Discord server to submit a whitelist request, and all the other connection details/etc. can be found there, too. The only caveat is that we authenticate against Mojang's servers, so cracked clients/accounts won't be able to connect.
- Do I need mods to play?
- It depends on the server. Our Vanilla+ server is the only one accessible through a 100% vanilla client. Our other servers all have required modpacks, information and links for which are all in Discord.
- Where can I get help?
- Join our Discord server and you can reach us for questions or submit a ticket there. Our community is happy to help!
- Can I download old world saves?
- Yes! When a server season ends, and if there's any demand, we'll make the world available for download on the homepage under "World Downloads."
